Blue Orange Games will premiere the worker placement / action selection game Vikings on Board at Gen Con, with a trade release in late August.

Designed by Charles Chevallier, Catherine Dumas, and Pascal Pelemans, the game casts players as heads of rival Viking clans seeking to control the ships being built in the harbor. Players use their actions to take control of the ships with the most valuable supplies when the ships set sail. Players score points by being in control of the ships when they leave the harbor.  They can also place bets on which clan will control ships when they set sail. The player with the most points after seven ships launch wins the game.

The box contains 39 ship pieces (24 bodies, 8 bows, 7 sterns), 16 Viking tokens (4 of each color), 16 gambling tokens (4 of each color), 15 supply tokens (5 hide, 5 grain, 5 metal), 4 scoring circles (1 of each color), 3 market value tokens, 1 leader token a game board and illustrated rules.

The game is for 2 -4  player, ages 8 and up, and plays in 30 – 60 minutes. MSRP is $39.99.
