The series will launch out of the existing Invincible Iron Man storyline, which sees Tony Stark dealing with the death of his best friend, his company collapsing, and finding out who his biological parent are, all in the wake of Civil War II.
The new series will be written by Brian Michael Bendis, with art by Stefano Caselli. The character of Riri Williams will already have been introduced in the ongoing story of Invincible Iron Man Vol 2. The 15-year-old genius MIT student has already reverse-engineered her own Iron Man suit. Just how she ends up the official Iron Man has yet to be revealed.
