Comic-Con News: At its eponymous panel at San Diego, Warner Bros. unveiled some footage from Zack Snyder’s Justice League film, which hit theaters in 2017. While this is more of a “sizzle reel” than a conventional trailer, the scene in which Batman attempts to convince The Flash and Aquaman to join the Justice League is noticeably lighter in tone than anything in Snyder’s’, which was roundly criticized for its ponderous, super-serious tone (see "'Suicide Squad' Sent Up for Reshoots"). The only character who comes off in super-serious mode is Jason Mamoa’s Aquaman, who gets needled by Batman who quips, "I hear you talk to fish."
It is also interesting to note how different Ezra Miller’s portrayal of The Flash is from Grant Gustin’s on the CW Flash TV series. Where Gustin plays Flash as a highly competent and professional forensic scientist, Miller’s take on the Scarlet Speedster is so socially inept that verges on "attention disorder syndrome."
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is set to debut on Nov. 17. 2017.
