Marvel will launch a new Star Wars series in December, currently being solicited as “Star Wars Classified,” according to Newsarama.

The series will be written by Kieron Gillen (Darth Vader, Iron Man), with art by Kev Walker (Uncanny Inhumans, 2000 AD). The issue #1 will feature a main cover by Kamome Shirahama, with variant covers by Jamie McKelvie, Elsa Charretier, Rod Reis, Salvadore Larroca, and John Tyler Christopher. Issue #2, which will also release in December will feature variant covers by Annie Wu, Declan Shalvey, and Dave Dorman. Issue #1 will be 40 pages and have an MSRP of $4.99, issue #2 will have 32-pages and have an MSRP of $3.99.

“Star Wars Classified” will join the main Star Wars and Star Wars: Poe Dameron as an ongoing title. Darth Vader wraps up with issue #25 in October (see “Preview: 'Darth Vader' #25”).
