BOOM! Studios will release The Realist: Plug and Play, a new volume from the creator of the Eisner Award-winning The Realist, in April 2017 under its Archaia imprint, the company told ICv2. Collecting the weekly autobiographical webcomic by Isreali cartoonist Asaf Hanuka and first published in France, this new volume will be a mix of pathos and politics, as Hanuka plumbs the depths of existence with “humor and melancholy, imagination, and quiet desperation.” The Realist: Plug and Play will be a 112-page 6.875” x 10.25” full color hardcover for $24.99.
The Realist, the first volume from Asaf Hanuka, won the Eisner Award for Best U.S. Edition of International Material this year (see “Image, Drawn & Quarterly Dominate Eisners”).
