The official synopsis reads: “With brain-swapping aliens poised to attack, the Doctor and Nardole link up with an investigative reporter and a mysterious figure known only as The Ghost. Can the Doctor save Manhattan? And what will be revealed when we see behind the mask?”

In the U.S., Fathom Events will host a limited two-day theatrical run for the 2016 Doctor Who Christmas Special  on Tuesday, December 27 and Thursday, December 29 in select theaters nationwide (see “'Doctor Who Christmas Special' Will Play in Theaters”).
