Paizo, Inc. has launched a second retail incentive program for in-store events, this time for its PathfinderAdventure Card Game.

Paralleling the program Paizo launched last year for Pathfinder Society roleplaying events (see “Retail Incentive Program From Paizo”), the new program is designed to encourage players to make purchases in game stores that host Adventure Card Guild events.

Players who make purchase on the day of an event in the host store may present their receipts to the event coordinator.  If the combined value of all receipts presented at a table exceeds $10.00, all players at that table receive both an ongoing benefit and a one-use individual benefit that their character can use once during each scenario played over five hours.  More powerful “enhanced” versions of the abilities can be gained if the group presents receipts valued over $50.00.

The ongoing group benefit, called “Harder to Kill” allows players to reset their hand as if their hand size was 1 lower, or 2 lower if the ability was enhanced.  Individual players can choose one of three single-use benefits, either “Cheaper Boons”, “Recover from Wounds”, or “Bonus Wealth.”
