The first two OP kits, the Launch Kit and the Escalation Kit, will release along with the new game this spring, followed by the first in a series of Quarterly Kits in July.
When the game releases, players can join the Runewars Miniatures Games Launch Adventure, held exclusively in hobby game stores. This event is designed to ease players into the game, by allowing them to play through a series of scenarios with a friend using the components of a single boxed set. Players who complete the scenarios can earn promotional items for the game.
Shortly after the Launch Adventure, participating stores will be able to host the Runewars Miniatures Game Escalation Adventure. This event features a series of battles between armies that grow from battle to battle, encouraging players to add expansions to the game slowly over the course of the event.
Stores that wish to participate in this program can order Launch Kits and Escalation Kits for these events.
Starting in July, the Runewars Miniatures Game will continue to be supported through Quarterly Kits released every few months. These kits will provide exclusive prizes and titles for participating players. The game will also be featured at Fantasy Flight’s 2017 World Championships and 2017 Store Championships in November.
