There has been lots of news on upcoming geek movie productions in the last week, and we round it up here.

A recent tweet from New Mutants director Josh Boone seems to confirm that Game of Thrones favorite Masie Williams (Arya Stark) has been cast as Wolfsbane.  The tweet features concept art from Ashley Guillory, who drew Williams as the shapeshifting character, who was part of the original New Mutants lineup.  The film is reportedly set to begin production this spring (see "Changes Expected for 'X-Men' Movies").

Variety reports that Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) and Thandie Newton (Westworld) are in talks for a key role in the upcoming Han Solo spinoff.  Waller-Bridge is reportedly playing a CGI-based character. No details were revealed on the character Newton will play.  If negotiations are successful, they will join Alden Ehrenreich (see "Young Han Solo Cast”), Donald Glover (see "'Han Solo,' More"), Woody Harrelson (see "Woody Harrelson For 'Han Solo' Film"), and Emilia Clarke (see "'Black Panther,' 'Han Solo'").  Filming on Han Solo recently began (see "'Aquaman,' 'Kong: Skull Island,' 'Han Solo,' 'Avatar'"), and the movie opens May 25, 2018.

Paramount has put the zombie apocalypse on hold, moving World War Z 2 from its scheduled June 9 release. Variety reported that a new release date was not announced, but it has reportedly been pushed to 2018 or 2019 and the extra time will be used to develop the script.  The Hollywood Reporter revealed that David Fincher is very interested in directing the movie. Fincher has previously worked with star Brad Pitt on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Fight Club, and Se7en.
