Heath Ledger received a posthumous Best Supporting Actor Academy Award on Sunday night for his performance as the Joker in The Dark Knight. TDK also won for Best Achievement in Sound Editing. Those two were the extent of the film’s wins; it was nominated in eight categories (see “Ledger Gets Oscar Nomination”).
In other Oscar results of interest, Wall-E won the Best Animated Feature Oscar, and the animated Waltz with Bashir did not win the Best Foreign Language Film of the year (Departures, from Japan, took that award).
