Hollywood insiders are reporting that the producers of Spider-Man 4 have approached actress Anne Hathaway to star in the latest Spidey epic. Nikki Finke has confirmed on her Deadline Hollywood blog that Sony has approached Hathaway with a starring role in Spider-Man 4. According to Finke, Hathaway will not be replacing Kirsten Dunst as MJ, so speculation is rife on the net concerning the nature of the role that Hathaway is being offered. The current consensus is that she is being offered the role of The Black Cat, but some think Hathaway is more the Spider-Woman type. So far there as been no confirmation on any of this from Sony.
Spider-Man 4 is set to debut in theaters in May of 2011.
