In April Manga Entertainment will release KARAS, a special 40th anniversary production from Tatsunoko Productions, the creators of such classic anime series as Speed Racer, Battle of the Planets, and Gatchaman.  The creative team on KARAS worked on Wolf's Rain and The Big O, and also includes composer Ike Yoshihiro (Blood the Last Vampire, Dead Leaves).  Under the direction of Keiichi Sato, the KARAS six-episode OVA series features a skillful blend of two- and three-dimensional animation and some of the most brilliantly realized swordfights in all of anime.

Manga Entertainment plans to release the KARAS OVA series on two 3-episode 90-minute disks, the first of which is scheduled for April.
