DC Comics announced the release of the third volume of Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns saga. The Dark Knight III: The Master Race  will release this fall, marking the 30th Anniversary of the series.

The Dark Knight III: The Master Race will be written by Miller and Brian Azzarello (100 Bullets, Joker, Wonder Woman). Series artists were not announced. The eight issue series will be published twice a month beginning in late fall.

DC recently announced a hardcover collection of the first two stories, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Deluxe Edition, which is also due out this fall (see “DC Does Classic Hardcovers for Holidays”).
