Craig Borten, who is best known for writing the screenplay for The Dallas Buyers Club, has been hired to do a rewrite on Inherit the Earth, a movie based on the IDW comic Zombies vs. Robots (see “Sony Picks Up Zombies vs. Robots”). According to The Hollywood Reporter, Andrew Adamson is set to direct Inherit the Earth.
Mad Max: Fury Road director George Miller had said that a sequel should be called Mad Max: Furiosa in honor of Charlize Theron’s character in Fury Road, but Blastr is reporting that the film will be titled Mad Max: Wasteland. Tom Hardy will be back as Mad Max, but no word yet on Charlize Theron.
A photograph from the Toronto set of Suicide Squad shows Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn drawing down on Jared Leto’s Joker, a new look at the characters from this film (for an earlier look, see "Suicide Squad, Deadshot Pics Released").
And Wired has released the first photograph of the Orgrim from the upcoming World of Warcraft movie, which was set to be released in December 2015 (see “WoW Movie Gets a Release Date”) but was moved to June 10,2016 to not compete with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Based on the original orc designs from Blizzard Entertainment, the WoW movie version of Orgrim was created by Industrial Light and Magic, which took scans of the Blizzard Orgrim designs and merged it with photos and scans of actor Robert Kazinsky to create the final product.
