The company will be releasing Quartz, a game designed by Sergio Halaban (Sheriff of Nottingham, Warehouse 51) and Andrew Zatz (Warehouse 51). In this card game, players take on the roles of dwarves working in a mine to find beautiful jewels. The winner is the player to collect the best jewels.
MSRP is $49.99, and release is planned for Gen Con. Trade release may lag a month behind the debut.
CV Gossip is an expansion to CV, the humorous dice-and-card game, adding two new card categories, Fate and Gossip. The expansion contains 12 Fate cards, 12 Gossip cards, 2 Goal card, 16 tokens, a scoring notepad, and instructions. As an expansion, CV Gossip requires the base game to play. Passport will release the game this Spring, MSRP has not yet been announced.CVLizations is a civilizations-building game with similar game play and art as CV. Unlike CV Gossip, CV Lizations is a stand-alone title. Instead of playing out the what-ifs of a personal history, players do something similar on the grander scale of an entire civilization. MSRP and release date have not yet been finalized.
Finally, Passport has some new information on Simurgh, the tile-laying dragon-themed worker placement game (see "Breed Dragons, Go to War, in 'Simurgh'"). Each player is the head of a powerful, dragon-controlling family. In addition to your spearmen and dragon riders, each dragon has its own special abilities and ways they function. The game will be released at Origins in June. The tentative MSRP is $65.00.
