Mayfair Games is releasing Fight for Olympus, a new area-control card game from Matthias Cramer (Rococo, Lancaster) this summer, as a part of their Lookout Games 2-player series.
The new game has players taking the roles of Greek gods in a valiant battle for Mount Olympus, making use of demigods, heroes, and simple soldiers in the conflict. Balancing attacks to achieve a military victory is one way to win, or simply gaining control of the entirety of the board is another.
Fight for Olympus included 60 hero cards, 36 unit cards, 16 wound markers, four color markers, a scoring marker, a game board, and a rule book. It releases in June or July, and has MSRP of $28.00.
Mayfair Games showcased Fight for Olympus along with the Matthew Dunstan and Brett J. Gilbert game Costa Rica at New York Toy Fair earlier this year (see "'Fight for Olympus' and 'Costa Rica'").
