WizKids will release the new Marvel HeroClix: Avengers Defenders War Booster Brick expansion set in May 2017.

The heroes of Marvel HeroClix have been tricked by Loki and Dormammu into fighting each other on the HeroClix battlefield.  This expansion will offer up new ways for the heroes to work together, expanding the Shifting Focus mechanic to allow teams to coordinate more effectively.  Special HeroClix 15th Anniversary Throwback figures will also appear in this expansion, featuring figures from the early days of the game, while new sculpts of heroes that have not appeared in Marvel HeroClix for some time will also be included.

The complete set will include 74 figures, with 18 common, 16 uncommon, 16 rare, 16 super rare, and 8 chase figures altogether.  The figures will be sold in booster boxes, which will be available in 10-piece booster bricks.  MSRP is $12.99 per booster.

The new Avengers Defender War will follow the Guardians of the Galaxy set, scheduled to release in April (see “‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Return to ‘Marvel HeroClix’”).
