Diamond Comic Distributors has announced an exclusive worldwide sales and distribution deal with Heavy Metal Media, LLC.

The deal will make Diamond the exclusive worldwide sales and distribution outlet in both the comic book specialty and book trade markets for Heavy Metal products including graphic novels, trade paperback and hardcover books, and the publisher’s bimonthly Heavy Metal magazine.

Heavy Metal franchise owners Jeff Krelitz and David Boxenbaum purchased the company from Kevin Eastman in 2014, and set up the new Heavy Metal comic book line in Portland in 2015 (see “Heavy Metal to Base Its Comic Book Line in Portland”). The company hired Grant Morrison to be editor-in-chief for the magazine in 2015 as well (see “Grant Morrison Hired as 'Heavy Metal' Editor-in-Chief”).
