Dynamite Entertainment is heating up August with new releases featuring James Bond's Miss Moneypenny, Sheena, and Turok.

Faith scribe Jody Houser becomes the first woman to tackle the James Bond universe when she takes Miss Moneypenny on her first solo comics adventure in James Bond: Moneypenny.  The one-shot is drawn by Jacob Edgar and will be in stores August 30.

Will Eisner and S. M. "Jerry" Iger’s iconic jungle queen Sheena will return to comics on August 2 with an all new series from writers Marguerite Bennett (Batwoman, Animosity) and Christina Trujilo, and artist Moritat. Emanuela Lupacchino (Starfire, Supergirl) covers the issue, with variants from Moritat, Ryan Sook (X-Factor, The Spectre), and J. Scott Campbell (The Amazing Spiderman).  Sheena #0 has a special $0.25 introductory price.

Another pulp fave is also getting a relaunch on August 2: Turok.  The new interpretation of the famed dinosaur hunter comes from writer Chuck Wendig (Star Wars: Aftermath, Hyperion) and artist Alvaro Sarraseca (Witchblade).  It also features a Doc Spektor back-up story by Aubrey Sitterson (Street Fighter X, G.I. Joe) and Dylan Burnett (Weavers), continuing a tale started in The Sovereigns (see “Preview: 'The Sovereigns' #1”) and Magnus (see “Dynamite Re-Imagines 'Magnus, Robot Fighter'”).  Aaron Lopresti (Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman) provides the main cover for Turok #1 with variants from Sarraseca, Aaron Conley (Rocket Raccoon & Groot), and Andy Belanger (Southern Cross).
