Relativity Media is developing the film, a years-long process that has involved a succession of directors and stars and has been complicated by the company’s bankruptcy. Relativity has emerged from bankruptcy and made the film a priority (see “'The Crow' Remake to Start Production”).
Corin Hardy (The Hallow) has a holding deal with the studio to direct Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Game of Thrones) in the remake, but Variety indicates that neither is fully attached yet. Edward R. Pressman, who produced the Alex Proyas-directed film that starred Brandon Lee, will be among the producers on the new incarnation of The Crow.
In the original graphic novel, Detroit-based musician Eric Draven is resurrected and aided by a mysterious bird as he seeks revenge for his murder and the murder of his fiancée Shelly.
