BOOM! Studios and the Jim Henson Company will explore the world of the Dark Crystal in a new oversized hardcover. Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal: A Discovery Adventure, illustrated by Ann Marcellino, promises an immersive experience based on the beloved 1982 film. It will be released by BOOM!’s Archaia imprint in May. MSRP for the 24-page, full-color volume is $14.99.

The broadening retail footprint for The Dark Crystal also includes a board game from River Horse Games, which will be out in early 2018 (see “Another Jim Henson Classic Adapted Into Board Game”).

BOOM! also has another Jim Henson release planned for 2018: a backstory for the Goblin King from Labyrinth (see “The Goblin King Gets A Backstory”).
