Privateer Press has shared details and a release date for its rebooted Monsterpocalypse battle miniatures game. The first two Monsterpocalypse Agenda Starters launch in September.

Privateer announced the new version of the giant monster battle game earlier this year (see “The 'Monsterpocalypse' Reborn”). With kaiju being popular in Hollywood and in tabletop releases, Privateer is bringing back its own giant monsters property, as an inexpensive intro to miniature games and hobby painting for new fans and nostalgic players. The army construction rules are simple – pick Protectors (blue) or Destroyers (red). The miniatures are detailed resin and metal constructs, to appeal to both players of the original game and newcomers.

Privateer said in the announcement that there will be a limited number and size of follow-up products to limit the amount of shelf space the line requires. Players will be able to expand and customize their force with Monster, Unit, and Building Packs, as well as supplementary accessories.

Organized play will launch in Fall 2018.

The Monsterpocalypse Protectors Starter G.U.A.R.D. set will include a Defender X miniature, along with a repair truck, Elite G-tank, 3 G-tanks, an apartment building, 3 custom dice (Boost, Power, and Action) and a double-sided map. MSRP is $49.99.

The Monsterpocalypse Destroyers Starter Plant Eaters set will include a Gorghadra miniature, along with smaller crawler, elite belcher, and 3 belcher minis; an apartment building, 3 custom dice (Boost, Power, and Action) and a double-sided map. MSRP is $49.99.
