Marvel is kicking off Dan Slott’s run on Tony Stark Iron Man with launch parties. The first issue of the series, which is illustrated by Valerio Schiti, is set to hit stands on June 20, and retailers have until May 7 to opt in for the launch parties.

Participating retailers will receive the following incentives for their launch party:

  • Tony Stark Iron Man #1 Party Invitational Postcards (bundle of 100)
  • Tony Stark Iron Man #1 Mini Comic (bundle of 25)

Participating retailers are also eligible to order the following items:

  • Tony Stark Iron Man #1 Premiere Variant
  • Tony Stark Iron Man #1 Connecting Party Variant
  • Hulk #1 Connecting Party Variant
  • Thor #1 Connecting Party Variant

The three connecting party variant covers complete a single image.

Further, Marvel is offering a slew of variant covers for order regardless of whether retailers participate in the launch parties. The variants include 20 covers by Alexander Lozano and Valerio Schiti, each featuring a different version of the Iron Man armor, and variants by Ari Granov, Alex Ross, and David Aja, as well as a blank variant. Marvel also has a poster by Alexander Lozano available to order.

Slott is ending his decade-long run on The Amazing Spider-Man after issue #801 (see “Dan Slott Leaving Spider-Man”) and assuming the reins of Tony Stark Iron Man (see “Preview: 'Tony Stark: Iron Man' #1”). The new series will debut a new suit for billionaire Tony Stark.
