San Francisco in 1987 looks pretty punk rock in the first Deadly Class trailer.
The Syfy show is based on the Image Comics series from writer Rick Remender and Wes Craig (see "Syfy Orders 'Deadly Class' to Series"). The series is executive-produced by the Russo Brothers, who directed Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers Infinity War, and the upcoming Avengers 4. Remender and Craig are co-showrunners. The show will debut in 2019.
The ‘80s-set series follows Marcus, a homeless teen who is recruited into King’s Dominion, a private school that trains assassins for crime families around the world. Marcus is played by Benjamin Wadsworth (Teen Wolf). Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange) plays the formidable headmaster of the school. Lana Condor (X-Men: Apocalypse), Maria Gabriela de Faria (Yo Soy Franky), Luke Tennie (Shock and Awe), Liam James (The Killing), and Michel Duval (Queen of the South) also star (see “First Look at 'Deadly Class'”). Musician and writer Henry Rollins also has a recurring role.
