Ankama has announced the November release of its fantasy-themed tile-laying game Tales of Glory.

In Tales of Glory, players seek to tell their adventurers’ stories by collecting tiles representing various quests and encounters that a hero might undertake in a fantasy land, such as fighting monsters, looting treasure chests, or meeting mysterious and powerful people.  These adventures can grant the heroes glory or resources that they will need to face more dangerous adventures later in the game.  The tiles are selected simultaneously then added to the heroes’ tableaus, with the placement of the tiles affecting the rewards that each player receives.

Over ten “years” of adventures, the heroes try to gather as much glory as possible, with the most esteemed adventurer claiming victory.

Tales of Glory is the first published design by Romain Chastan.  It is intended for 2 to 5 players, ages 10 and up, and takes about 45 minutes to play.  The game will feature artwork by Miguel Coimbra (who contributed to Seven Wonders, Small World, and BattleLore).  MSRP is $45.00.

In October, Ankama will give the monsters their chance when it releases Monster Slaughter (see “Ankama Turns the Tables in ‘Monster Slaughter’”).
