Set to the soundtrack of Tiffany’s “I Think We’re Alone Now,” the trailer for The Umbrella Academy provides an introduction to the dysfunctional superhero team that will debut on Netflix in early 2019. The 10-episode series based on Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba’s acclaimed comics will take a bow on February 15 (see "Gerard Way's 'The Umbrella Academy' Comes to Netflix").

In the trailer, we get the lowdown on the mysterious origin of the team, which consists of six (of 43) children born in 1989 to women who didn’t start the day pregnant. Tom Hooper’s Number 1 (Spaceboy / Luther Hargeeves), David Castaneda’s Number 2 (The Kraken / Diego Hargreeves), Emmy Raver-Lampman’s Number 3 (The Rumor / Allison Hargreeves), Robert Sheehan’s Number 4 (The Séance / Klaus Hargreeves), Aiden Gallagher’s Number 5 (The Boy), and Ellen Page’s Number 7 (The White Violin / Vanya Hargreeves) gather to investigate the death of their adoptive father Sir Reginald Hargreeves (played by Colm Feore). Page puts on a pot of coffee as Gallagher reveals the world will end in 8 days.
