Legendary Entertainment has locked in overall deals with Brian K. Vaughan and Kelly Sue DeConnick and Matt Fraction’s Milkfed Criminal Masterminds.

Vaughan will develop adaptations of his comics work and new projects for Legendary reports Variety. Details on which comics might be developed under the deal weren’t provided, but Vaughan has several acclaimed books under his belt, including Saga, Paper Girls, and Barrier.  The award-winning comic creator also has extensive entertainment experience writing for TV (see "CBS Producing Adaptation of Stephen King's 'Under the Dome'") and film (see “Brian K. Legendary Television secured a two-year deal with Milkfed Criminal Masterminds, Kelly Sue DeConnick and Matt Fraction’s production company.  The duo will oversee the development of several of their creator-owned series and develop original projects for Legendary (via Deadline).  Collectively, they have several series that could come to TV, such as DeConnick’s Bitch Planet and Pretty Deadly and Fraction’s Sex Criminals, ODY-C, and Casanova.  DeConnick, whose run on Captain Marvel serves as the major source of the upcoming standalone film, and Fraction previously had a development deal with Universal TV (see “'Sex Criminals' on TV”).
