The Witcher The Role Playing Game, based on the popular Witcher video games from CD Projekt Red and novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, released last summer (see “Final Cover and Release Details for 'The Witcher' Role Playing Game”). The digital download of The Witcher Pen & Paper RPG was DriveThruRPG’s best-selling RPG for 2018, and it only went on sale from July 29, GeekNative reported in January. R Talsorian has been hard at work on additional releases for the line, which include:
- The Lords and Lands Game Master Screen - A four panel, 3mm thick GM screen for the RPG which also includes a 16-page booklet containing a new race, a new Profession, new items, and rules for creating "everyman NPCs." Release is planned for late Spring/early Summer.
- A Witcher's Journal – A full-color hardcover bestiary of 35 monsters for The Witcher TRPG to be released on August 1 at Gen Con. Most (33) of those monsters will have two page spreads, with deep lore on their behavior, combat tactics, and superstitions. However in the very back, the exceptional monsters – true dragons and higher vampires – will have five pages each of lore, combat information, and how to use them as NPCs in a game. There is also a customization table so the core rules of the game can be tailored for specific encounters.
- The Witcher's Book of Tales – A compilation of six adventures for the RPG, similar to Dungeons & Dragons: Tales from the Yawning Portal. Release is planned for later this year.
