The Korean War is the subject of a new sourcebook for Bolt Action, releasing in August from Warlord Games.  New miniatures featuring the combatants of that war are also in the works.

Stretching from 1950 to 1953, the Korean War was one of the earliest conflicts of the Cold War.  With the Bolt Action:  Korea Supplement, players can now recreate the fighting in this “Forgotten War” on their tabletop using 28mm scale miniatures.  The book describes the history leading up to the war and the way it was conducted, providing details for the many nationalities that participated in the conflict.  Rules for playing games set during the war and scenarios round out the book.  MSRP is $32.00.

The Korea Supplement uses the Bolt Action 2nd Edition rules, and a copy of those rules are needed to play the game (see “New Edition for ‘Bolt Action’”).

To support the new book, Warlord is also releasing a line of new miniature kits featuring the Korean People’s Army, including infantry squads, support weapons, and a BTR-40 APC.  MSRP varies by kit.

A bit more tongue-in-cheek, the MASH Unit kit features miniatures inspired by the characters from the classic television show.  MSRP $24.95.

All miniatures come unpainted and unassembled.

Warlord recently reached a deal with Mythicos to open a chain of co-branded retail stores in the U.S. (see “Warlord Games, Mythicos Studios Join to Open Multiple Warlord Mythicos Studios Locations”).
