U.K.-based miniatures game company Warlord Games and New Jersey-based Mythicos Studios will join to open co-branded retail locations under the Mythicos Studios membership model in the U.S. and Europe. In the U.S., the first moves will be to rebrand Mythicos’ current location in Succasunna, New Jersey as Warlord Mythicos Studios and to open a second location in October, in the New York metro area.
Under the Mythicos membership model, subscribers get product discounts, tables equipped with terrain and play mats, first dibs on Mythicos events, and attendance to guest-speaker events and hobby-related clinics (painting/airbrushing classes, game coaching, etc.).
The companies also plan to co-develop and manufacture a series of Mythicos Studios-developed games and Warlord games expansions.
The companies expressed expansive goals: "to establish Warlord Mythicos Studios in every major US metropolitan area, as well as a global presence for the brand, its entertainment and gaming products, and venues."
