San Diego Comic-Con News: IDW Publishing has announced an agreement with Paramount licensing that will bring Captain Janeway and the crew of Star Trek: Voyager back to comics this October in Star Trek: Voyager: Mirrors and Smoke, a one-shot that will be written by Paul Allor (G.I. Joe) and illustrated with painted art by J.K. Woodward (Star Trek: Mirror Broken).

Star Trek: Voyager: Mirrors and Smoke is the first in a series of one-shots set in the realm of dark doppelgangers that is the “Mirror Universe,” and it will be followed by excursions in to that twisted realm by one-shots focused on The Original Series and Deep Space Nine.

In Star Trek: Voyager: Mirrors and Smoke the reasoned, reserved, and precisely moral Janeway of the Voyager TV series becomes the badass "Pirate Queen" of the Delta Quadrant pillaging and plundering her way across the far reaches of space.

Star Trek: Voyager: Smoke and Mirrors is due out this October with a cover by J.K. Woodward as well as a retailer incentive variant cover by George Caltsoudas, who along with Woodward provided incentive covers for IDW’s recent Star Trek crossover, Star Trek: The Q Conflict (see “Captains Kirk, Picard, Janeway, and Sisko Join the Q Conflict”).
