Archie Meets The B-52s follows in the tradition of other cult crossovers like Archie Meets Ramones and Archie Meets KISS (see "KISS Returns to Comics With Archie & IDW"). This latest crossover was written by Alex Segura and Matt Rosenberg featuring art by Dan Parent.

“The B-52s are not only a legendary rock group, but are an important part of my life," artist Dan Parent said of the one-shot, "They are a band who meant a lot to the kids who felt like they were out of the norm, and they made it cool to embrace your inner weirdo.”
