IDW Publishing will launch Star Trek: Picard - Countdown, featuring events leading into the new CBS All Access series Star Trek Picard, on November 27.  Countdown will be written by Mike Johnson and Kirsten Beyer, featuring art by Angel Hernandez.  The first issue will feature a photo variant cover and a variant cover by Sara Pitre-Durocher.

The comic prequel focuses on the mission that changed Picard's life forever, before the retirement to his vineyard depicted in the series trailer.

CBS All Access will debut Star Trek: Picard this January (see "CBS ALL Access Reveals New ‘Star Trek: Picard’ Trailer and Premiere Date").
