The Pokémon Company will release Pokémon Trading Card Game: Sword & Shield on February 7.

The Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield expansion brings over 50 Pokemon from the Galar Region to the Pokémon TCG, including the evolutions of Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble; the Legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta; and specific Galarian forms such as Galarian Ponyta.  Sword & Shield introduces powerful new Pokémon in the form of Pokémon V and Pokémon VMAX for Pokémon like Snorlax and Lapras.  V and VMAX cards represent the Dynamax and Gigantamax forms introduced in the latest Pokémon video game.

Sword & Shield contains 17 Pokémon V and 12 full-art Pokémon V cards, including Zacian V and Zamazenta V; 4 Pokémon VMAX cards, including Snorlax VMAX and Lapras VMAX; 35 Trainer cards, including 4 full-art Supporter cards; and 1 Special Energy card.  The expansion will be available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Box Zacian and Elite Trainer Box Zamazenta, three theme decks focusing on the final forms of the Galarian starters.

On January 3, the Pokémon Company will release the Pokémon TCG: Meowth VMAX Special Collection.  The collection contains 5 boosters, a Meowth V promo card, Meowth VMAX promo card, and one oversize Meowth VMAX card.

The Pokemon Company released the Pokémon TCG: Galar Collection in November (see "‘Pokémon TCG: Galar Collection’").
