Three announcements of new hires arrived Monday, bringing news of hires at VIZ Media and Vault Comics.

VIZ Media has hired Ailen Lujo as Director of Publishing Marketing, the company announced.  Lujo was most recently at Humanoids for a brief stint (see "Humanoids hires DC Vet as Director of Sales and Marketing"); before that she had a nearly eight-year run at DC Comics as Director of Trade Marketing and more recently as Executive Director, Book, Mass Sales and Trade Marketing.  In her new role, Lujo will develop strategies, build and lead multi-channel marketing campaigns, and be a liason between the VIZ Media sales and editorial teams.

VIZ Media has also added Chantelle Sturt as Director of Publicity, Public Relations.  This is a new role in the newly created Public Relations department; Sturt will lead publicity across books, anime, digital and streaming products, interactive gaming, and home entertainment.  Prior to VIZ Media, Sturt had stints at Beacon Publishing in New York and Penguin Random House Australia.

Vault Comics has hired Rebecca "Tay" Taylor as Managing Editor of its Myriad middle grade and young adult imprint (see "Myriad Shares First Titles"), the company announced.  In her new role, Taylor will run editorial and acquisitions for the line, and share marketing and sales roles with Vault's core staff.  Taylor has had editorial roles at DC Comics and at BOOM!'s Archaia imprint, where she received an Eisner nomination (see "The 2014 Eisner Award Nominees").
