Ultra PRO revealed a new easier-to-learn version of Jeff Bellinger's Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot, called simply Killer Bunnies, at New York Toy Fair, as well as new packaging for the original game.  Both will release in mid-summer.

Originally launched in 2002, Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot is a satirical card game in which players try to find the Magic Carrot while protecting their collection of bunnies from being eliminated by their opponents—or to try to knock out all of the other players’ bunnies.  Since its release, the game has spawned a number of expansion sets and stand-alone games.

Now Ultra PRO is producing Killer Bunnies, which will use a streamlined and simplified version of the rules from Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot.  This version of the game is intended for new hobbyists and players unfamiliar with the original game.  It features rules that are easier to learn and a shorter playing time.

Killer Bunnies will have all-new artwork created by Kristen Maslanka.  It will be a stand-alone game with an MSRP of $10.00.

The company is also re-launching the base game for Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot in new, smaller-format packaging.  The new version will have an MSRP of $20.00.

Ultra PRO was also showing new accessories for Magic:  The Gathering Mythic Edition (see “Become Mythic with ‘Magic:  The Gathering’ ‘Mythic Edition Accessories’”).
