Wizards of the Coast revealed more details for Core Set 2021, a new set for Magic: The Gathering, which will release July 3 (see " WotC Reveals 'Magic: The Gathering - Core Set 2021' Products and 'Magic Arena Starter Kit'").

The new Core Set 2021 is absolutely loaded with reprints, new powerful cards, and tons of alternate art. Reprints include desirable cards like Grim Tutor, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, and Ugin, the Spirit Dragon. These reprints are accompanied by new version of fan favorite planeswalkers like Liliana, Chandra, and Garruk. Additionally, Magic: The Gathering designers have brought back the phasing mechanic which was first introduced in Mirage.

However, the most significant story to come out of this set is the printing of a single planeswalker, Teferi, with five different non-foil, alternate art versions of the same card (9 different non-foil versions, if the showcase and extended art frames are included)! Teferi's artwork was designed to change slightly per version to project the essence of time manipulation.
