Dinosaur World is a new standalone board game featuring similar dice drafting and worker placement mechanics to the original Dinosaur Island (see "Pandasaurus Heads for 'Dinosaur Island'"). In this game, players travel around a hex tile park building attractions and dinosaurs to reap the rewards of their unique effects. This sequel board game is set a few years after the original game, and places a more importance on creating dinosaurs and attractions in an effort to win the game. It is for two to four players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 60 to 120 minutes.
Dinosaur Island: Roar 'n Write is a roll-and-write game based on Dinosaur Island which includes several beloved aspects of the original game. Players will draw tetromino shapes on a gridded paper to create their attractions and dinosaurs all while managing threat levels, acquiring specialists, and engineering DNA.Both of these games will feature retail reward tiers when they arrive on Kickstarter, and the Kickstarter will run from September 22 to October 16.
