Vault Comics will publish a new series, World of Darkness: Crimson Thaw, based on the World of Darkness RPG and spinning off their previous World of Darkness series, Vampire: The Masquerade (see “Vault Comics Unveils ‘Vampire: The Masquerade’ Series”), the company announced. World of Darkness: Crimson Thaw will be a three-issue miniseries. Each issue will include exclusive gaming material for the tabletop RPG Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition. The first issue will be released in September.

This series focuses on the character Cecily Bain, whose reign as the Prince of the Twin Cities is threatened by a battle with Tyrell “The Stainless” Stinar and his pack of werewolves. The writers include Jim Zub, Tim Seeley, Blake Howard, Tini Howard, and Danny Lore, working with artist Julius Ohta, colorist Addison Duke, Eisner-nominated letterer Deron Bennett, and designer Tim Daniel. The cover artists are Aaron Campbell and Joshua Hixson.
