Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. is recommending the reopening Yu-Gi-Oh! organized play in the United States.

Organized Play is set to be available again in the United States on July 15 at each retailer's discretion. Konami also recommends that stores ask Duelists to confirm that they are either vaccinated or have a tested negative for COVID-19 before allowing them to play in events. Additionally, they should encourage organizers and players to continue to social distance and wear masks, if those precautions are consistent with CDC recommendations and local regulations.

Players can still participate in Remote Duel tournaments (see "Konami Builds on 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Remote Duel'") using Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. Yu-Gi-Oh! in-store events have been postponed since last July (see "'Yu-Gi-Oh!' Postpones in-Store Events Indefinitely").
