With a big football weekend, it was a major week for trailers for upcoming geek movies and TV shows.  We round them up here.

Prime Video released a one minute teaser trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, showing characters, sets, and action for the first time.  The title was revealed via video in January (see "’Intro Video for ‘LOTR’ Series"); the launch date (September 2) was revealed last August.

Universal released a full trailer for Jurassic World Dominion, the conclusion of the Jurassic film era. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are joined by Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill in the film, directed by Colin Trevorrow (see "Stars Return for ‘Jurassic World’").  It takes place four years afer Isla Nublar’s destruction, when dinosaurs roam the entire planet alongside humans.  It opens June 11 (see "Geek Movie Calendar – 2022").

DC Comics released "The World Needs Heroes" trailer, which features clips of their new movies that are coming soon to theaters.  This trailer shows clips from The Batman, Black Adam, The Flash, and Aquaman 2 (see trailer below).  The first of these movies to hit theaters is The Batman on March 4, 2022 (see "Best in Shows -- 2022").

Pixar launched a new official trailer for Lightyear (see trailer below).  This movie is the origin story for Buzz Lightyear, the hero that inspired the toy from Toy Story.  Former Captain America star Chris Evans will voice Buzz alongside a voice cast including Keke Palmer, Dale Soules, and Taika Waititi.  Lightyear will hit theaters on June 17, 2022 (see "'Lightyear'").

A new trailer for the Disney+ Moon Knight series, which will launch March 30, aired during Sunday’s football game.  It contains footage not seen in the first trailer, released last month (see "’Moon Knight’ Trailer").  Oscar Isaac stars as the title character.

Marvel released a new trailer, which contains footage not previously seen, for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.  The first trailer was released in December (see "’Doctor Strange’ Teaser").  The film will be released in Marvel’s favorite weekend, the first weekend in May (see "Geek Movie Calendar-2022").
