Gwen Stacy, by writer Christos Gage and artist Todd Nauck, launched in 2020 with a cover by Adam Hughes and a Silver Age vibe (see “‘Gwen Stacy’”), but only the first two issues were published before the COVID-19 pandemic brought everything to a standstill.

Now Marvel will publish the complete five-issue story as Giant-Size Gwen Stacy #1, a plus-sized comic that will reprint the first two issues and publish the final three issues for the first time. The in-continuity story is set before Stacy met Peter Parker and follows the science whiz as she joins the X-Men, faces down Marvel villains, and untangles a universe-wide conspiracy. The hefty one-shot will be released on August 10 with a main cover by Olivier Vatine and a variant by Peach Momoko.
