Ion 2E is a revised edition of the original game that released in 2015. It is a card drafting game in which players choose ion and noble gas cards, and attempt to create neutral compounds or collect sets of noble gases. Players are scored based on the compounds they create each round, and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins. The new edition features new artwork and tweaked gameplay which leads to more option for strategies.

The game box comes with 50 Ion cards, 15 Noble Gas cards, 7 Transition Metal cards, 9 Polyatomic Ion cards, 14 Radioactive cards, 9 Goal cards, 21 Action tiles, a scorepad, a rulebook, and a Science Behind Ion booklet. This game is for two to seven players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 20 to 30 minutes. It will retail for $19.99.
