Trans Atlantis Games and the Duncan Rhodes Painting Academy unveiled Two Thin Coats Wave 2, new premium hobby paints, which will release into retail in the second half of 2023.

Wave 1 of Two Thin Coats began shipping to retailers in 2022, and was available in the U.S. and Canada through Asmodee USA (see "Six Companies Send Products into Distribution with Asmodee USA"). Wave 2 features the same high-quality formula as Wave 1, which has a high pigment count. The next wave adds 60 new paints to the line, including:

  • 13 new triads, including additional flesh tones and military colors 
  • 6 super bright new primary and secondary highlights
  • 6 new metallics
  • 3 new washes
  • 6 super-saturated glazes

This wave will initially be crowd-funded on Kickstarter with the campaign launching on January 24, 2023. The crowd-funded products will ship in the summer, and retail shipments will follow fulfillment.
