The Warhammer 40,000 Core Book is a 280-page hardcover that contains the core rules set for 10th edition. The book features lore, artwork, and a recap of events that have unfolded across the universe. It includes new rules for playing Combat Patrol games as well as six missions for players to battle through.

The book will also be printed as a limited edition version that comes in a presentation box which dawns art depicting the Emperor on the Golden Throne. This version also comes with a 64-page book with just the core rules, 6 metal objective markers, 2 double-sided rules reference sheets, and 5 double-sided Warhammer 40,000 art prints.

Games Workshop will also release Leviathan, a new boxed set for Warhammer 40,000 (see " 'Warhammer 40,000: Leviathan'").
