The upcoming TCG, which hits stores in 2024 (see "'Star Wars TCG"), was demoed by the designers of the game at the Asmodee Media Event. The game features mechanics inherent to other TCGs on the market, such as play cards face down to create resources and playing units onto the battlefield. The unique element of this game are that there are both space battles and ground battles with the cards played. The goal of the game is to essentially destroy an opponent's home base using a variety of cards, including Leaders, which are primarily main characters from the Star Wars universe. FFG also had some of the Gamegenic accesory prototypes for the game on display.
