For the second month in a row, there are four Spider-Man graphic novels on the Superhero chart plus one on the Manga chart. Of course, there are five Batman titles; it will be interesting to see if DC’s Batman manga makes the Manga Top 20 when it debuts in September (see "DC to Publish Superhero Manga").
The top title on the Superhero chart is, as usual, TMNT: The Last Ronin. Spider-Punk: Battle of the Banned returns for a second month in the number two spot, while Batman: Beyond the White Night stays on the chart but slips from third place to seventh. Other returning titles are Spider-Man Volume 1: End of the Spider-Verse, The Flash: Fastest Man Alive, and Nightwing Volume 3: The Battle for Bludhaven’s Heart.
A handful of July releases debut on the chart: The Human Target: Book Two, Star Wars: Hidden Empire, and Volume 15 of TMNT: The IDW Collection.|

Aside from a few perennials (They Called Us Enemy, Invincible, Gender Queer), the Author chart is dominated by webtoons and manhwa (most of which started out as webtoons). The fourth volume of Lore Olympus stays at the top of the chart, with the hardcover selling better than the paperback, which is generally the pattern for a new volume. For the older volumes on the chart, the reverse is true, with the paperbacks of all three making it into the Top 20 ahead of the hardcovers of Volumes One and Three.
Five July or late-June releases are on the chart, and all are manhwa: Volume 3 of Love Is an Illusion, Volume 3 of Killing Stalking, Volume 3 of My Gently Raised Beast, Volume 3 of The Remarried Empress, and Volume 1 of The Horizon. We’re starting to see the same pattern with manhwa as with manga, where certain series hit the chart when a new volume comes out and then disappear. Looked at that way, Villains are Destined to Die is a series to watch, as both the first two volumes are still on the chart months after release.

The manga-only chart also contains an interesting new title: Disney Twisted-Wonderland, Volume 1: The Manga: Book of Heartslabyul, a video-game adaptation by Yana Toboso, better known as the creator of the Yen Press series Black Butler.
