Image Comics has announced two new five-issue limited series that share a common setting, the future city of Neo Novena, as well as similar stories told from different points of view. The One Hand, written by Ram V with art by Laurence Campbell and coloring by Lee Loughridge, is a crime procedural featuring Ari Nasser, a detective on the brink of retirement who is faced with a new murder that is strikingly similar to those committed by a serial killer whom Nasser locked up years before. The series will launch on February 7, 2024.
The Six Fingers, written by Dan Watters, with art by Sumit Kumar and coloring by Loughridge, is also set in Neo Novena but centers on an archaeology student, Johannes Vale, who commits a murder using the methods of a notorious serial killer—but doesn't remember doing it. That series will launch on February 21, 2024.
Ram V’s credits include Swamp Thing, Detective Comics, and Web of Carnage (see “‘Summer of Symbiotes’”), while Watters is the writer of The Incal: Dying Star (see “First Look at Humanoids’ New ‘Incal’ Stories”) as well as Loki and Cowboy Bebop.
