Marvel & Disney: What If…? Donald Duck Became Thor retells the origin of the Mighty Thor with Donald Duck.

Out September 4, 2024, the one-shot mash-up follows the previously announced What If…? Donald Duck Became Wolverine (see “Donald Duck as Wolverine”) and Uncle Scrooge and the Infinity Dime (see “Preview”) in crossing over Marvel and Disney characters.

The comic is plotted by Steve Behling, written by Riccardo Secchi, and illustrated by Lorenzo Pastrovicchio, who also drew the main cover. It’s inspired by the first appearance of Thor in Journey Into Mystery #83 by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, and Larry Lieber, but this time, a duck wields Thor’s hammer to battle an alien invasion.

Variant covers are by Walter Simonson, homaging his previous iconic Thor cover, Peach Momoko, and Phil Noto. Also available are a Phil Noto virgin variant cover and a black-and-white variant cover by Lorenzo Pastrovicchio.
