A summer wave of Hollywood news has hit the beach, and now it's time for a round-up!
Netflix dropped the official trailer for the final season of The Umbrella Academy (see below). The season will begin streaming on August 8, 2024 (see "Netflix Unveils 2024 Slate").
Marvel Studios released a teaser trailer for Captain America: Brave New World (see below). This movie, starring Anthony Mackie, will hit theaters on February 14, 2025 (see "2025").
Warner Bros. Entertainment released a new trailer for the first chapter of the Watchmen animated series (see below). Chapter 1 will be available on digital on August 13, 2024 (see "Animated 'Watchmen'") and then releasing on physical media on August 27.
Apple TV unveiled a trailer for the new Time Bandits series (see below). The new series by Taika Waititi is an adaptation of the 1981 Terry Gilliam film, and will stream beginning July 24, 2024.
Emilia Clarke has been cast in Amazon Prime Video's Criminal series, according to Variety. Criminal was created by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips, and won 2007 Eisner Awards for best new series and best writer (see "DC Dominates Eisners"). Prime Video announced that it picked up the property earlier this year (see "’Criminal’ Heads to Amazon").
